Princess of Olufi Stool Emerges Overall Best Graduating Student, Faculty of Law, First Class with 4.51 CGPA_
The ancient town of Gbongan in Ayedaade Local Government Area of Osun State is in joyous celebration following the outstanding academic feat of one of its royal daughters, Princess OYENIYI, Fortune Adesewa.
Princess Adesewa, a Princess of the royal lineage of the Olufi of Gbongan, emerged as the Overall Best Graduating Student from the Faculty of Law for the 2025/2026 academic session, graduating with First Class Honours with an impressive CGPA of 4.51 on a 5.0 scale.
The announcement has thrown the entire Gbongan community, both at home and in the diaspora, into jubilation. From the Palace of the Olufi to markets, schools, and Gbongan Progressive Union chapters in Lagos, Abuja, the UK, US and Canada, the chorus has been the same: “Our daughter has made us proud.”
Princess Fortune is royalty not only by birth but in character, intellect and discipline. Described as quiet, focused, God-fearing and humble, she never allowed her royal background to breed complacency. Instead, she saw education as a platform to project the good name of her family and kingdom.

The Olufi of Gbongan, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adetoyese Oyeniyi, in his royal message, described her as a worthy ambassador of the stool and a shining example to Gbongan youths, especially the girl-child.

With her First Class, Princess Adesewa will proceed to the Nigerian Law School for her professional training, ahead of her Call to the Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
