Nollywood icons Iya Rainbow and Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD) were honored with the prestigious Industry Merit Award at the 10th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
The award, presented to them by the legendary Taiwo Lycet, celebrates their remarkable contributions and outstanding performances in the Nigerian film industry.
“I thank God that I’m still alive. Since 1942. I dedicate this to God and my husband who passed away and to my children,” Iya Rainbow said while receiving the award.
RMD said: “Thank you very much AMVCA This was very unexpected. I’ve been privileged to be supported by lots of young people. Thank you everyone.”
The award ceremony was a celebration of their remarkable contributions and outstanding performances in the film industry. The duo’s careers have not only entertained but also inspired generations.
